Reservation Policies
Members on the calling list will be called
before each meeting. Reservations must be made or cancelled eight days before the luncheon
meeting, by noon on that Monday. To make
changes or cancellations, call Earlene Whorton at 269-944-1731. If you do not cancel your reservation eight days before the meeting, you are expected to pay the cost of the luncheon..

Program: In 1832, there was already a lighthouse at the mouth of the Saint Joseph River. That was two years before Newburyport was incorporated as Saint Joseph and fifty-nine years before Brunson Harbor was incorporated as Benton Harbor. On Tuesday, September 8, 2026, following the luncheon, Kate Heckner Ulrey will provide MARSP-BCC members the history of Saint Joseph lighthouses built on the bluff and on the north pier. You are invited to attend, learn, and enjoy!

Program: On Tuesday, October 13, 2026, Larry Ward will share his experience hiking the John Muir Trail and the Colorado Trail. The John Muir Trail is a 211-mile backcountry route in California's Sierra Nevada Mountains that runs from the Yosemite Valley to the summit of Mount Whitney. The Colorado Trail is a 450-mile trail from south of Denver to Durango. It includes national forests, wilderness areas, and mountain ranges, and is some of the most beautiful scenery in the country. You may remember the October 12, 2022, presentation by Larry Ward on climbing Mount Denali and his May 9, 2023, presentation on hiking the Appalachian Trail.
